As a collector and bookseller, this is is in my top 10 books. Of the hundreds of books I've read, this is easily in my top 10 best books I've ever read. The characters are incredible. The humor is on point. Make no mistake, dark, sad stuff happens in this book but it is still very, very funny. LD is simply fantastic. When reading it for the first time, I immediately knew Augustus "Gus" McCrae joined the pantheon of my favorite characters ever in literature, tv, or movies.
Condition: Acceptable condition for a used book! Some wear. there are about 6 total pages in the middle of this book that are slightly wrinkled from presumably some water. The book is fine outside of that! See images for the condition of this book.
Blurb: "A love story, an adventure, and an epic of the frontier, Larry McMurtry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, Lonesome Dove, the third book in the Lonesome Dove tetralogy, is the grandest novel ever written about the last defiant wilderness of America.
Journey to the dusty little Texas town of Lonesome Dove and meet an unforgettable assortment of heroes and outlaws, whores and ladies, Indians and settlers. Richly authentic, beautifully written, always dramatic, Lonesome Dove is a book to make us laugh, weep, dream, and remember."
